Pașcanu Pass, at an altitude of 1250 meters, crosses Obcina Feredeului and connects the Moldova and Moldovița valleys. Access is via an unmodernized and unclassified forest road. The area is covered by impressive spruce forests, considered among the purest in the country, with rare examples of resonance spruce used to make musical instruments.
