Huta Pass (DN19), at an altitude of 587 meters, crosses the Oaș Mountains, connecting Negrești-Oaș in Satu Mare County to Sighetu Marmației in Maramureș County. Though a pass of modest altitude, it plays an important role as a road link between the Oaș Country and historic Maramureș. The route crosses beech forests and pasture areas.
